OUR VALUES

REAL

Messy People Who Want More 0f Jesus// Romans 5:8

We want to be a church where you can be real. No pretending. No pressure to have it all together. Just real people showing up to meet with a real God. At The Pointe, you don’t have to dress a certain way, talk a certain way, or put on a fake smile to fit in. Come as you are. This is a place where your soul can breathe. A place where honesty matters, grace is real, and people are welcomed just as they are. We’re not about appearances. We’re about authenticity, warmth, and helping people take real steps toward God. And that shows up in our worship too. We’re not here to perform. We’re here to lift up Jesus. He is our focus, and we want everything we do to reflect that.

RELEVANT

The Gospel Taught in a Hopeful and Helpful Way// 2 Timothy 3:16

Looking for spiritual depth? Feeling like you’re doing life on a hamster wheel? Wondering what the next step in life is? At The Pointe, we want to be a church that speaks to where people are right now. Not shallow. Not overly complicated. Just real truth for real life. Because life is messy, complex, and rarely solved with quick fixes. That’s why we love that the Bible is a collection of real-life stories with powerful truth and clear application for the world we live in today. That relevance carries into the way we teach, too. We use visuals, large-scale props, movie clips, and creativity to help bring the ancient truths of Scripture to life in a way people can understand and remember. And relevance doesn’t stop on a Sunday. It shows up in the way we care for our community, too. We want to notice real needs, step into them, and love people well.

RELATIONAL

Belong Before You Believe// 1 Peter 4:8

You’ll find a real sense of warmth here. People care. We’re more than a crowd sharing a room. We’re friends, we’re family, and we want people to feel that from the moment they walk in. That kind of love starts with Jesus. He is the reason we love people the way we do. Following God was never meant to be just checking boxes, keeping rituals, or going through religious motions. It is relational at its core. It’s about knowing God, walking with Him, and growing in a real relationship with the Creator of the universe. And as our love for Jesus grows, our love for people should grow too. The closer we get to Him, the more we want to love those around us the way He did.

RELIANT

Following God is a Team Sport// John 15:5

We were never meant to follow Jesus alone. There will be times when we are tired, weak, discouraged, and in need of people who will come alongside us with love, truth, strength, and encouragement. Scripture shows us this again and again. David had Jonathan. Paul had Barnabas. Naomi had Ruth. Even Jesus chose the twelve to do life and ministry with. God’s design is clear: we need Him, and we need each other. We also want to live in daily reliance on the Holy Spirit. We need His guidance, correction, comfort, and power. That is why we value prayer and want to stay sensitive to His leading in every part of life. That dependence doesn’t stop with us. We need other churches, too. We celebrate every church’s success in our city because we need every church to reach everyone. We pray for churches across Fort Wayne to grow and thrive so that, together, the Church can serve every person who wants to find and follow Jesus.

RISK-TAKING

The Stakes are Too High to Play it Safe// 1 Corinthians 9:22

We play it safe in kids ministry…but that’s about the only place. We believe eternity is at stake, so content and comfortable can’t be our goal. We will risk what we have to reach who we haven’t. That kind of bold faith is part of our story, and we want it to stay part of our future.

RELENTLESS

Always Reaching For Those Not Here Yet// 1 Corinthians 15:58

As long as there is one more person far from Jesus, we are not done. We are a church for those not here yet, relentlessly fighting for the next person. We refuse to coast on yesterday’s wins when eternity is on the line today. That is why we keep dreaming, keep innovating, and keep taking bold steps forward—because to reach who we have never reached, we must be willing to do what we have never done.

REDEMPTIVE

We Don't Believe in Secular// Psalm 24:1

It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’ve been, or what you’ve done—we love and value people, no matter their baggage or mess. Jesus did. Since every one of us needs redemption from something, we do not judge people based on what God wants to redeem them from. And that redemptive heart shapes more than how we see people. It shapes how we see culture, too. The Pointe started in a movie theater, not a typical place for a church, but there was something powerful about worshiping Christ in a place where He is often absent. From the beginning, that spirit of redemption has been part of our story. That is why we use video, movie clips, songs, and creative elements to help communicate God’s truth. We want to redeem the culture around us while loving the people living in it.

ROWDY

Church Should Be Fun// 1 Peter 1:8

We think church should be fun. Not fake fun. Not forced fun. Real fun. Full of joy, energy, laughter, passion, and life. Following Jesus is the greatest thing in the world, so church should not feel cold, stiff, or half asleep. At The Pointe, we want to create a place where people can worship loud, smile big, and actually enjoy being at church.

And while we love to have fun, we are serious about truth. We teach the Bible in a way that is helpful, hopeful, and easy to understand, because we want people to leave changed, encouraged, and excited to follow Jesus.
