About the Church

It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’ve been, or what you’ve done—we love and value people, no matter their baggage or mess. Jesus did. Since every one of us needs redemption from something, we do not judge people based on what God wants to redeem them from. And that redemptive heart shapes more than how we see people. It shapes how we see culture, too. The Pointe started in a movie theater, not a typical place for a church, but there was something powerful about worshiping Christ in a place where He is often absent. From the beginning, that spirit of redemption has been part of our story. That is why we use video, movie clips, songs, and creative elements to help communicate God’s truth. We want to redeem the culture around us while loving the people living in it. And that’s why we choose to lean into a weekend many Christians have traditionally avoided. When it might be easier to turn the lights off and shut the doors, we choose to turn them on and welcome our community in.
